Playing WordBuzz
How do I play?
Trace through adjacent letters to make words, then release to submit them. Each quest has its own target, move or time limit, and special rules. Check the goal panel before you start and replay the on-screen tutorial when a new rule appears.
I’m stuck on a quest. What should I do?
Check the exact goal, try longer words and save Power Flowers for the hardest part of the board. You can replay a quest without losing progress. If it still looks impossible, contact support with the quest number, game language and a screenshot.
Why wasn’t my word accepted?
WordBuzz checks words against the dictionary for your selected language. Proper names, abbreviations and some unsuitable or very obscure entries are deliberately excluded. If a common word appears to be missing, send us the word and language so we can review it.
How do I change language?
Open the side menu, choose Settings, then Language. WordBuzz supports English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese and Russian. Quests, dictionaries and multiplayer matching use the language selected in the game.
What are Power Flowers?
Power Flowers are created by making particular long word shapes. Different flowers clear nearby letters, rows, columns or larger areas. The illustrated guide shows every shape and effect.
Progress and accounts
How is my progress saved?
Your progress is saved on the device as you play. On Android it is also backed up through Google Play Games when you are signed in. Offline progress remains on the device and is synced after you reconnect.
How do I restore progress on a new or reinstalled device?
Sign in to Google Play Games with the same Google account, connect to the internet and reopen WordBuzz. Keep the original installation until you have confirmed that cloud save is working. If you have an old WordBuzz recovery code, contact support before clearing or replacing the device.
Does WordBuzz still use Facebook?
No. Facebook sign-in, friends, invitations, timeline posts and the Facebook advertising SDK have been removed. Facebook is not used to save progress or identify players.
Multiplayer
How does multiplayer work, and what does my rating mean?
Multiplayer requires an internet connection and Google Play Games sign-in. Quick Match pairs you with a compatible player using the same game language. Your form rating runs from 0 to 1000 and reflects results from your most recent 100 games; a neutral provisional sample keeps it stable until you have played 20 games.
Can I invite friends or chat?
Not at present. Quick Match is available, but direct friend invitations and chat remain disabled until they can be offered with suitable privacy, moderation and abuse-prevention safeguards.
Ads, privacy and support
Why are there ads, and can I remove them?
Advertising keeps WordBuzz free. If Remove Ads is offered in the in-game shop, Google Play handles the purchase. After reinstalling, use Restore Purchases with the same Google account. Where required, Privacy Choices in Settings lets you review advertising consent.
Can I play offline?
Most solo quests work offline. Cloud backup, multiplayer, purchases and some advertising or privacy services need an internet connection.
What data is used, and how do I report a problem?
WordBuzz uses Google Play Games for sign-in and cloud saves, Google AdMob for advertising, and Firebase services for diagnostics and stability. It does not use Facebook. The privacy page explains the details. For help, include your device model, Android version, game language, quest number and a screenshot; never send passwords or payment details.
